Sucker Punch

Have you ever seen the movie The Bucket List? I remember watching that movie thinking I couldn’t do something like that. How do you do that knowing what’s waiting for you on the other side? How do you find joy in those moments? Now I am about to have to experience this with someone I love more than anything, and I don’t know how to do it. I don’t know how to cherish every moment and soak it in while at the same time my heart is breaking and I am experiencing the most unimaginable pain I have ever dealt with in my life. On one hand I am grateful for this time to be able to cherish everything before we have to say goodbye, but on the other hand my heart is being slowly ripped apart day by day. If there was ever a time that reminds me that God never once promised us an easy life, God never promised not to give us more than we can handle, this season the year 2020 is showing me that. His Will Over Yours

Before all this Coronavirus craziness happened I had been praying big prayers, well big prayers for me anyways. I had been praying for God to strengthen my trust in Him, for Him to help me grow more in my faith. Never in my life did I think I would be tested like this so quickly. I have been so angry at God and frustrated. I have sat here questioning myself, did I hear Him correctly?, I know this is what He was pointing me towards but why does everything feel so wrong?! It’s so easy for us when the path gets hard to question God and his goodness. The world we live in offers us a multitude of compromises in our relationship with God, and if we have strayed to far it’s going to be easier for us to give in. I have learned that to live a life according to His will is full of  sacrifices, heartache and fears, but on the other side of that is experiencing a love greater than I ever knew could be possible.
